Roasted Mashed Sweet Potato for babies

Comments (0) | Sunday, 12 April 2015

Sweet Potato is very healthy for kids. You could either boil them or bake them. I found baking more healthy because there was no way you would lose any nutrients. Post 6months of age, I introduced this to my daughter. She didn't really like the taste of sweet potatoes though so I used to make this once in a while only. After she started teething, I started including it in parathas so she never realised the presence of sweet potatoes :)

Mango Kulfi for Kids / Mango Dessert / Mango Ice Cream for Kids

Comments (0) | Monday, 17 November 2014

Kulfi is a frozen dairy dessert from India or a traditional Indian ice cream. Its extremely healthy as its made of milk, hence good for kids. If you don't prefer giving the frozen form, we can give the kulfi liquid mixture which is in room temperature directly to kids. My daughter loves it.  Hope your kid likes it too. Please do try it and let me know your experiences.

Mango is a very nutritious fruit and fatty too, hence great for kids. Whenever mangoes were available, I used to make mango puree and give my daughter. I started giving this to her post 6 months of age. I have also used this with yogurt and gave her as mango flavoured yogurt. You can use this as dessert for kids or as a jam for flatbreads/chapatis/parathas. Mango puree is just awesome. Please try it and let me know your experiences.
