Spinach Tofu Masala is a great side dish for breads like Naan, Chapati and Parathas. It also goes well with Daal Rice. It can be used as a filling for samosas and pies. Please click here for recipe for Spinach Tofu Pie.
Ingredients:
- Spinach (chopped) - 2 handful
- Tofu (chopped) - 1/4 Cup
- Onions(chopped) - 1/2 Cup
- Cumin Seed - 1 Tsp
- Red Chilly Powder - 1/2 Tsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 2 Tsp
(Please note: You can use the ingredients as much as you wish or as less as you wish as per your taste)
Preparation Method:
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add cumin seeds. Once it crackles, add chopping onions.
- Once onions turn pink, add chilly powder and turmeric powder. Mix well.
- Add spinach immediately and mix.
- Once the spinach wilts, add salt
- Add tofu.
- Mix and cook on low flame with covered lid for 5mins. Allow it to cool to room temperature.
The Spinach Tofu Masala is ready.
