Brocolli Lentil Pulao / Brocolli Khichdi / Brocolli Rice for kids
Comments (0) |
Brocolli is very healthy for kids. So, I thought of combining brocolli, rice, lentils, onions and tomatoes and coming up with a nutritious power packed dish for my toddler. This Broccoli Lentil Pulao is very easy to make and can be served with something milk like just plain yogurt/raita or cucumbers or white pumpkin yogurt gravy which is again extremely healthy. Please try it and hope your kid loves it too. Thank you.

My daughter likes parathas a lot but lately she wasn't liking it that much. Guess she was bored eating the same kind. My friend then suggested me to try sweet potato parathas. I always try to involve my daughter with me in kitchen as much as possible and I should say that my daughter totally enjoyed the making of this paratha and seeing her enjoy, I was content.
Please see pictorial representation of how I made this paratha and how my daughter helped me make it :)

Valentine's Day Dinner (Vegetarian)
Comments (0) |
For this Valentine's Day, we decided to go Vegetarian. Since it was vegetarian, it was tough to decide upon a great menu to please myself and my husband. Finally, with my sister's help, I came up with this menu - Potato Heart Dumplings in Spicy Curry, Steamed Basmati Rice, Salad and Rosemary Avocado Sorbet. The juice we decided to include in this meal was Rose Lemonade which was awesome. My husband loved it. I gave the the Rosemary Avocado Sorbet to my toddler later on and she just finished it up. I was super super happy! Please do try it and am sure you will love it too. Thank you.

Rajma Paratha / Kidney Beans Paratha / Kidney Beans Flat Bread for kids.

Kidney Beans is highly nutritious as it a great source of protein. Vegetarians eat this a lot to compensate for the protein from meat. Hence it is extremely healthy for growing kids.
My daughter likes flatbread s so I thought of mixing Kidney Bean Puree along with wheat flour with an attempt to make it more nutritious. Its very simple and quick recipe. You could make extra and store the dough in refrigerator for later use. Please do try it and let me know how it went with your kid :-)
